Creating the canvas for community building comes through communal effort
Revival is built to celebrate the connections made through shared experiences. Our volunteer program is the corner stone of connectivity. Over the next few years we will be moving to a model that encourages each attendee to step into a new experience through a 3- hour volunteer experience. To promote this ethos we are introducing a special reduced ticket pricing this year for all attendee that sign up for a 3 hour volunteer shift.
While volunteering for festivals comes with its own subset of perks, the greatest of which we’ve found is familiarity. From meeting fellow campers and creating new friendships, to become intimately familiar with the programming, planning, and execution of the festival, volunteering is the easiest way to introduce yourself to everything Revival has to offer.
What to Expect and Steps to Volunteer:
After you purchase your volunteer ticket, Follow the “Sign Up Now” link below and pick your volunteer shift.
*** Note: If you purchase a volunteer priced ticket, but do not sign up for your shift by June 20th, Your ticket will be voided and you will need to purchase a general admission ticket***
From there you will be emailed by our Volunteer Coordinators who will give you details on upcoming Volunteer Welcome socials, training days, and answer any questions you may have. On the day of your volunteer shift, you will meet at the VIP lounge to volunteer in one of our different volunteer departments.
Possible volunteer areas are:
Gate and Greeters: Where you will welcome fellow attendees to the event and give them their check in packages with the festival guide, lanyards and maps.
Build Crew: Pre and post-event shifts building larger-scale art and infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for those who are hoping to learn hands-on skills.
VIP Lounge: Our epicenter for directing volunteers to their shifts, as well as a place to relax and socialize before or after your shift with a meal, snack or beverage. Our Volunteer Lounge feeds volunteers, and facilitators. Here we take turns nourishing our belly’s between nourishing our souls!
Watchmen: Watchmen serve as mediators of the event, and help participants in all ways. From helping solo campers set up a tent, to aiding in resolutions among friends.
Leave No Trace (LNT) : Educating fellow campers on our ‘Pack It In Pack It Out’ policies, and creating education on our goals as a ‘no waste’ festival in the future. This includes doing MOOP sweeps as well!
Floaters: These shifts are great for the noncommittal, who want to explore the festival with someone new. If there is ever a department needing an extra hand our floaters help fill in.
Volunteer Leads : Our Volunteer Leads introduce the volunteers arriving to their shift to their post and provide a 5-10 minute training, and get them set up for success for the day. The remainder of their shift they are on call via walkie talkie to provide support and answers as needed. These shifts are 6 instead of 3 hours long, but do not require the Leads to remain at their post.
