Culture Camps - Classrooms of self Discovery

Culture Camps are hosted by non-profits and local organizations. These camps create communal spaces to educate and share their projects and ethos.

Culture Camps host their own workshop and several activities through out the day, to get participants involved with the culture and mindsets they’re hoping to cultivate and expand.

This can range from culturally distinct ethnic groups, to environmentally conscientious groups, to socially conscientious groups.

Theme camps- playgrounds for the inner child

Theme Camps are hosted by unaffiliated groups of individuals coming together to create interactive inspired art spaces for festival goers.

There are little requirements beyond the desire to share a unique and involved experience.

No matter how elaborate or minimalist, expensive or cheap to create, the theme camp is a group of individuals sharing a part of themselves with any and all whom choose to enter their camp and experience their offerings.

In a nutshell a theme camp is 2 or more people camping together offering an interactive experience for other people to come participate in. Beyond that, imagination is the only real limit.

Whats the Same?

  • For both types of camp, sharing is the key component. Theme and Culture Camps do not charge anything for their offerings. Wither a theme camp is offering refreshing beverages, or a culture camp is offering a specially crafted snack, both are offered to fellow campers as a gift of themselves.

  • These camps offer a space (outside of their private camping areas) to invite fellow campers to come and participate. A Place To Eat, A Place to Play/Learn, or A Place to Relax.

These spaces are design, curated, and the focal point of camps. Some camps create interactive art pieces or music making devices or mind challenges. Still other camps provide a space for people of like-minds to gather and share time together, a place to make new friends or discuss life’s deep mysteries or frivolous meanderings.

  • Both types of camps are created by proportionately small groups when lined up next to the whole of a festival. Be it a tea house or a temple, a jungle gym or a Gameshow, be they serious or pointless, these are run by people enthusiastically adding to the community in a highly involved manner.
